Responsibilities (Who You Are)
- You are a highly skilled Frontend Engineer with extensive experience building customer-facing products.
- You take a customer backwards approach to your work and care deeply about user experience.
- A majority of your work takes place in the frontend, building user interfaces, but you’re comfortable dabbling in the backend.
- You enjoy staying up-to-date with new trends and technologies in software development.
- You know how to work cross functionally to meet the needs of multiple stakeholders, and you have a track record of success. You love moving fast and enjoy a good technical challenge.
What Excites You
- When coding for the frontend of the software stack you enjoy working with Typescript, React, Tailwind CSS, and GraphQL
- Our backend stack includes Typescript, Node.js, Postgres, and GraphQL. Ideally you have some experience in this stack.
- Creating high quality UIs that enhance the customer experience
- Building and owning features end-to-end
- Working closely with Product Managers and UX Designers to drive the design and implementation of key features
- Learning about customer problems and directly solving them with your work
- Working at a rapidly growing early stage startup with significant impact on the company’s processes, culture, and product
- Collaborating with a globally distributed team to deliver a best-in-class frontend and backend experience
Requirements (What Gets Our Attention)
- At least 4 years of shipping complex, production quality code
- High velocity startup environment experience
- Modern frontend framework engineering experience
- Ability to write well designed, tested, and maintainable code
- Curiosity and willingness to jump into unfamiliar codebases
- Strong sense of UX design
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with defining and implementing GraphQL server APIs and RESTful APIs
- Experience using Git and Jira
- You have a strong customer-first mindset
Benefits (What’s In It For You)
- Base Salary Range: $112,000 – $155,000. Offered salary will be based on the offered candidate’s demonstrated attributes and competencies related to the role, as well as the offered candidate’s geographical location within the United States.
