    Requirements for the Uppsala University Scholarships 2025

    • Non-EU/EEA citizens.
    • Citizens of African countries (for the Anders Wall Scholarship).
    • Citizens from conflict-affected or disaster-stricken regions such as the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Ethiopia, Mexico, Myanmar, Philippines, South Africa, Sudan, Ukraine, and Yemen (for the King Carl Gustaf Scholarship).

    Utrecht Excellence Scholarships (UES) 2025 in Netherlands | Fully Funded

    The Utrecht Excellence Scholarship (UES) is a highly selective programme for talented international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA = the EU countries, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway) who wish to study for a master’s degree at Utrecht University.

    The funds for the scholarships come from the Utrecht Excellence Scholarship Fund, established by Utrecht University, and contributions from Utrecht University alumni.

    The Utrecht Excellence Netherlands Scholarship covers the selected candidates’ tuition as well as the cost of living expenses.

    The UES also offers a scholarship ranging from €5,000 to €17,000 per year to undergraduates.

    This scholarship program lets very talented people from all over the world study certain subjects at Utrecht University.

    Eligibility Requirements

    To be considered for the for a Utrecht Excellence Netherlands Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:

    • You must belong to the top 10% of your graduating class.
    • You must not hold an EU/EEA passport and not be eligible for support under the Dutch study grant and loan system.
    • You must have completed your secondary school and/or bachelor’s degree outside the Netherlands.
    • You must have applied for an international master’s programme with a start date of 1 September 2025.
    • You must have applied and been admitted to a UES-eligible bachelor’s program commencing in September 2025.

    Benefits

    Masters Scholarships

    The Utrecht Excellence scholarship can be awarded as:

    • the tuition fee, or
    • the tuition fee plus the income required for a period of one year linked to a residence permit for study as determined by the IND (Immigration and Naturalization Service).
    • The scholarship can be renewed for the second year of two-year master’s programmes.

    Undergraduate Scholarships

    • Selected candidates are offered a scholarship ranging from €5,000 to €17,000 per year for a maximum of 3 years.

    How to Apply 

    To apply for the Utrecht Excellence Scholarship, interested and qualified candidates should;

    • Apply for admission to a bachelor’s or master’s program.
    • After submitting an application (or applications) for a UES eligible bachelor’s or master’s program before the stated deadline, non-EU/EEA students will have the opportunity to submit an application for one Utrecht Excellence Scholarship.
    • You will see the UES application(s) in your OSIRIS Online Application account dashboard.
    • Click view/edit for the UES linked (related process) to the program you wish to apply for, upload the requested proof of belonging to the top 10% of your class or personal statement, answer the questions, and submit the application.

    Requirements for the Tulane University Sub-Saharan Africa Leadership Awards 2025

    • Students from and studying in Sub-Saharan African countries are eligible to apply.
    • Any undergraduate degree programme offered at Tulane University is eligible to apply for.
    • The applicants must have enrolled in a full-time undergraduate programme at Tulane.

    Admission Requirements:

    • Students are required to maintain a 3.0 GPA minimum and provide official results of either the SAT or ACT examination to get into Tulane.

    Language Requirement:

    The applicants are required to attain minimum scores in the following English language proficiency tests:

    • TOEFL – 95 or higher
    • IELTS – 6.5 or higher
    • Duolingo – 115 or higher
