Remote Web Development Instructor Needed at RITA Africa

RITA Africa is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Full Stack Web Development Instructor to join our team.

As an instructor, you will play a key role in delivering comprehensive and practical training in full-stack web development, equipping learners with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in the rapidly evolving field of web development.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging and interactive lessons on full-stack web development, covering front-end and back-end technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Develop hands-on coding exercises, projects, and assignments that challenge students to apply theoretical concepts to real-world scenarios.
  • Teach essential front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles, ensuring students have a strong foundation in user interface development.
  • Instruct students on back-end technologies and frameworks such as Node.js, Express.js, and relational or non-relational databases, empowering them to build scalable and efficient server-side applications.
  • Guide students through the development of full-stack web projects, providing mentorship, feedback, and support to help them overcome challenges and achieve their learning goals.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions, share ideas, and collaborate on group projects.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, tools, and technologies in web development, incorporating relevant industry insights and best practices into the curriculum to ensure the training remains current and relevant.
  • Monitor student progress, assess learning outcomes, and provide constructive feedback to help students continuously improve their skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in full-stack web development technologies and frameworks, including but not limited to HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, and relational or non-relational databases.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to break down complex technical concepts into digestible explanations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for teaching and mentoring learners of diverse backgrounds and skill levels.
  • Prior experience as a web developer, instructor, or trainer in a professional or educational setting is preferred.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and professional development to stay updated on industry trends and advancements in web development.
