We are looking for a web (HTML and CSS) developer to join our growing team and help build great websites.The right candidate will be an experienced, level-headed team-player who is deeply passionate about building great solutions for the web and cares about delivering quality at all times.

On a typical day, you will be:

• Working in a team to implement user stories agreed with clients
• Implementing markup and CSS for desktop, mobile and email according to designs
• Working with designers to iterate and improve on designs according to modern UX standards and best practices
• Working with product managers to refine and estimate tasks
• Relying on a solid understanding of modern standards to produce clean, maintainable code
• Ensuring solutions work across all modern browsers, mobile devices and email clients
• Sharing your code using Git and working with continuous integration / continuous deployment tools to stage and deploy your work
• Researching solutions to challenges and working creatively around constraints
• Actively contributing to the team’s development with a commitment to continuous improvement
• Sharing your knowledge of best practices with the wider team

RequiredKey skills

 

• Good at planning your work and great communication skills
• Modern HTML / HTML5
• CSS / SASS (SCSS)
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript
• Cross-browser compatibility (modern browsers) and testing
• Responsive design and mobile web development
• Email content
• Web fonts
• Git / using pull requests
• Image standards and optimisation, including SVG
• Ticket, documentation and project management tools like Azure DevOps, Coda and Monday.com

Desirable

• ASP.NET Core MVC / Razor Pages / Visual Studio
• Angular
• Javascript / Typescript
• Developer tools like NPM, gulp, webpack, powershell and bash
• Content management systems
• HTML graphics and media capabilities
• Familiarity with in-browser developer tools (e.g. performance profiling)
• Workflow and UI design tools like Figma, Zeplin, Invision etc

Please note this role is NOT a JavaScript developer role, and is primarily concerned with building markup and CSS for multiple and varied web sites and applications. JavaScript experience is a bonus, but not the main focus of this role.Benefits
