The applications are open to apply for the UNICEF Internship in Japan 2025. This Internship in Japan is Taking Place at UNICEF’s Tokyo office.

The Duration of the Internship is 3 months and maximum 6 months. Interns will start the internship between March 2025 and December 2025.

This Internship is open to enrolled undergraduates, graduates, and doctoral students or those who have graduated within the past two years. Interns will also receive a Stipend during the Internship program.

UNICEF works in almost every country to save children’s lives, give them rights, and fulfill their needs.

The Objective of the UNICEF Internship in Japan is to assign specific tasks to interns under the Guidance of the Supervisor (Public Partnership Specialist).

Criterias for the UNICEF Internship 2025

The Internship is open to:

  • Currently enrolled or recent graduate (within 2 years) from a university or graduate school.
  • Interns will work for a minimum of 4 days/week for 3 – 6 months.
  • Passion for UNICEF’s work in child rights, protection,  education, health, nutrition, water/sanitation, gender, etc.
  • Fluent in English and Japanese (written and spoken).
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities of the Intern 

Under the Public Partnership Specialist’s guidance, the intern will support:

  • Gathering and organizing information for key counterparts and media.
  • Update and improve the Tokyo office’s website and social media.
  • Assist Team in Translation of UNICEF materials, and messages.
  • Assist in planning and executing office events, consultations, and workshops.
  • Other assigned tasks by supervisor.

Benefits of the UNICEF Internship 2025

  • Interns will receive a daily stipend of JPY 5500, covering transport costs.
  • Interns may work remotely some days.
  • Interns will work 4 days per week.
