Another Fully Funded Summer Internship in Germany. The applications are open for the DESY Summer Student Program 2025 in Germany. This is a Fully Funded Summer Program for the Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree students.

Each year DESY Invites up to 100 students from all around the world to spend 8 weeks and get hands-on experience and training at a large international laboratory.

The DESY Summer Program is taking place from 22nd July to 11 September 2025. There is no application fee and IELTS is not required.

The selected students will carry out research in Physics or related disciplines such as computing and engineering in the DESY laboratory in Hamburg or Zeuthen (near Berlin).

DESY Summer Program is one of the best Fully Funded Summer Internships in Germany for international students.

Eligibility Criteria for the Fully Funded 2025 Summer Student Program by DESY

Degree Stage: You should be either a final-year undergraduate student or a first-year Master’s student by the summer of 2025.
Field of Study: You must have completed at least three years of Undergraduate studies in physics, a related natural science discipline, or computing.
Master’s Degree: Applicants who have already completed a Master’s degree or will have completed one by summer 2025 are not eligible.
Applicants enrolled in a Master’s program can apply.
You should not have previously participated in a DESY summer student program.

Two Reference Letters
If you are not from an EU or EEA country, you will need a work permit to participate in the DESY Summer Student Program. Please submit the following documents in a single PDF file:
- Copy of International Passport
- Certificate of Enrollment: This document must be issued by your university and cover the entire program period, from the beginning of July to mid-September 2024.
- Declaration of Certificate of Enrollment: This mandatory document must be signed and stamped by your university and cover the same period as the Certificate of Enrollment. Please refer to the provided link for the specific form. (Get the Certificate from here).
