Front End Web Developer Responsibilities
WordPress Development:
- Build and maintain high-performance, visually appealing WordPress websites and themes.
- Customize WordPress core, plugins, and themes to meet specific project requirements.
- Optimize WordPress sites for speed, SEO, and user experience.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to integrate front-end components with server-side logic.
- HTML, CSS, and JavaScript:
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest front-end technologies and best practices.
- Create responsive designs that adapt to various screen sizes and devices.
- Implement user interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design concepts.
Front-End Frameworks:
- Experience working with popular front-end frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular
- (preferred).
- Leverage frameworks to build complex, interactive web applications.
- Integrate frameworks with WordPress seamlessly.
Performance Optimization:
- Optimize front-end code for fast loading times and minimal resource usage.
- Implement techniques like code minification, image optimization, and caching.
- Conduct performance testing and analysis to identify and address bottlenecks.
Accessibility:
- Ensure that websites comply with accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG).
- Create inclusive designs that are accessible to users with disabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in front-end web development with a strong focus on WordPress.
- In-depth knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress core concepts.
- Proficiency in at least one front-end framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A passion for staying updated on the latest web development trends.
Additional Plus
- Experience with headless WordPress architecture.
- Knowledge of server-side scripting languages (PHP, Python, etc.).
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Contributions to open-source WordPress projects.
