FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship 2024 |up to $20,000

Applications for the FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarships are now open to interested and qualified female candidates from around the world.

The $20,000 Women in Finance Scholarship aims to encourage and support talented women in finance, particularly those pursuing careers through graduate studies.

FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship Details:

The Women in Finance Scholarship is aimed at encouraging and supporting talented women in the field of finance, particularly those pursuing careers in financial asset management, market risk management, and derivatives finance within the capital markets.

The scholarship was launched in 2014 as the FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship, and has been continued following the 2023 acquisition of FINCAD by Numerix.

Based in Vancouver, Canada, FINCAD aim to help her clients be successful by simplifying derivatives finance with the necessary analytics to support and manage exposures, calculate fair values, and size trades appropriately.

FINCAD Scholarship Requirements:

To be considered for the FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarships, you must:

  • Be enrolled and attending a Master’s or PhD Finance program on a full-time basis
  • Have commenced your studies no earlier than January 1, 2024 or no later than February 1, 2025
  • Have less than 10 years of total work experience, and less than 5 years of professional experience in the financial field
  • Be a female citizen of any country who is enrolled in a post-graduate program in Finance at an accredited university

FINCAD Women in Finance Scholarship Duration and Reward

  • Once a year, an award of US$20,000 is given to an eligible woman to help support graduate-level studies in Finance.
  • 50% of the award will be paid directly to the winner and the remaining 50% is paid to the educational institution to directly assist with tuition.
  • All FINCADians receive two paid days off per calendar year to perform volunteer work.
  • FINCAD HOPE researches organizations for suitable projects then matches the need with talents inside the company to recruit volunteers.
