Software Engineer (Android)

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional experience in Android native development.
  • 4+ years Coding in Kotlin/Java
  • 2+ years experience in pair programming, TDD, code reviews
  • 2+ years Unit Tests, Instrumented Tests, and End to End Tests
  • Ability to create clean, efficient and high-quality code
  • You are familiar with multi-module apps
  • You are comfortable with Clean architecture and using Coroutines (or RxJava)

Backend Engineer

Basic Qualifications

  • You have 4+ years of experience in backend software development with Golang
  • You have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • You have good problem-solving skills and object-oriented design skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience being a part of building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Basic understanding of Micro-services.
  • Experience with cloud providers, preferably AWS, alternatively GCP/Azure.
  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and create technical designs and specifications.

Data Analyst (Collection)

As the Collections Analyst for the Nigerian business, you will be part of a team that plays a critical role in managing FairMoney’s ability to grow in the market. You will be one of the key stakeholders and contributors in decisions revolving around the business and product strategies.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development of collections strategy
  • Strategic campaign planning and optimization of new and existing collections models
  • Utilize data sets to perform analytics and propose solutions
  • Own the main portfolio metrics – default rates, acceptance rates, and profitability
  • Collaborate with Data Science, Debt Collection, and Growth teams on a daily basis
  • Work closely together with the Product and Engineering team on improvements for the lending product
  • Build, improve, and maintain the credit risk policy for Nigeria that will allow growth of the portfolio according to company OKRs
  • Communicate the performance results and other findings with the respective stakeholders
  • Keep up to date with the company’s lending protocols
  • Benchmarking current risk practices against those stipulated within business units
  • Implementing the best possible methodologies in improving the credit performance, considering the risk associated, yet offering the prime credit facility

Requirements

  • At least 2 years experience with exposure to Fintech / retail banking credit risk (consumer loans) / NBFCs
  • Expert in credit risk analysis/underwriting principles, methods, and practices
  • Proficient SQL user, with reasonable experience with BI tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or similar
  • Strong quantitative analysis experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to notice discrepancies in data
  • Impeccable understanding of financial statements, ratios, and concepts
  • Strong communication skills

Data Engineer

As a Senior Data Engineer at FairMoney, you will help build our Data Platform:

  • Ensure data quality and availability for all data consumers, mainly data science and BI teams. ingest raw data into our BigQuery DataWarehouse
  • Make sure data is processed and stored efficiently: work with backend teams to offload data from backend storage
  • Work with data scientists to build real-time machine learning feature computation pipelines
  • Spread best practices in terms of data architecture across all tech teams
  • Effectively form relationships with the business in order to help with the adoption of data-driven decision-making.

You will be part of the Datatech team, sitting right between data producers and data consumers. You will help build the central nervous system of our real-time data processing layer by building an ecosystem around data contracts between producers and consumers.

Our current stack is made of:

  • Batch processing jobs (Apache Spark in Python or Scala)
  • Streaming jobs (Apache Flink deployed on Kinesis Data Analytics)
  • REST apis (Python FastApi)
  • AWS Kinesis / Apache Kafka as message bus
  • AWS Lambda as lightweight processors
  • Apache Iceberg as an analytics table format
  • BigQuery as a data warehouse

Skills

You will work on a daily basis with the below tools, so you need working experience on:

  • Languages: Python and Scala
  • Big data processing frameworks:
  • Streaming: Apache Flink
  • Batch: all or one of Apache Spark – Apache Flink – Apache Beam
  • Streaming services: Apache Kafka / AWS Kinesis

Requirements

Ideally, you should have at least 5+ years of experience with:

  • Deployment/ management of stateful streaming jobs
  • The Kafka ecosystem: Kafka connects mainly
  • Infrastructure as code frameworks (Terraform)
  • Architecture around data contracts: Avro Schemas management, schema registries (Confluent Kafka / AWS Glue)
  • Kubernetes
  • Data quality frameworks (Great Expectations / Aws Deequ)

Product Manager

As a Senior Product Manager for the lending division, you will be a key driver in shaping the strategy and roadmap for our lending products.

You will be responsible for developing and executing a product vision that aligns with our company’s goals and customer needs. This role requires a deep understanding of lending practices, fintech industry trends, and the unique challenges and opportunities present in the African market.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Product Manager, in the lending industry, preferably within the fintech sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of lending products and services, including consumer and small business lending, credit scoring models, and risk assessment.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and launching successful fintech products.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with the Nigerian and African fintech markets and an understanding of local customer preferences and behaviors is a bonus but not essential
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience in managing and motivating high-performing product teams.
  • Creative problem solver mindset with a data-driven and KPI-oriented approach.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to getting hands dirty at all times;
  • Experience of working on platform products is a plus.

Educational Background:

Experience:

  • 5 years experience in content marketing with a fintech company, minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Excellent written skills with the ability to present at the board level and inspire a team.
  • Broad experience across content marketing channels and a thirst to continue testing and learning.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing successful brand, content initiatives and PR campaigns.

Skills:
