We are seeking a motivated and analytical Data Analyst Intern to join our dynamic team at Terminal Africa.
This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in analyzing data, researching, uncovering insights, and contributing to the enhancement of our logistical processes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the data analytics team to gather, clean, and transform data from various sources to create structured datasets for analysis.
- Assist in designing and executing queries, reports, and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for logistics operations.
- Support the identification of trends, patterns, and anomalies within large datasets to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Participate in market research projects and initiatives.
- Assist in creating data visualisation and presentations that effectively communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions.
- Contribute to the improvement of data collection processes and data quality assurance efforts
Qualifications & Skills:
- Recently graduated from a Bachelor degree program in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong proficiency in data manipulation, analysis, and visualisation using tools such as Python, R, SQL, Excel, or similar technologies.
- Basic understanding of statistical concepts and analytical methodologies to interpret data and generate insights.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with complex, unstructured datasets.
- Strong communication skills to present findings effectively and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Prior experience or coursework related to logistics, supply chain, or transportation is a plus.
- Eagerness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a fast-paced and innovative environment.
Duration
This internship is expected to last 6 to 12 months, with a potential for extension based on performance and mutual agreement.
