    Imperial College President Scholarships aim to provide up to 50 international students with great potential the opportunity to work within their chosen research field with the support of an excellent supervisor.

    Imperial College London is a world top ten university with an international reputation for excellence in teaching and research.

    Applications will be reviewed by a two-stage process:

    • Candidates meeting or predicted to meet the eligibility requirements will be reviewed by the Department to which they have applied.
    • Departments will select a shortlist of the very best candidates to present to the Imperial College Selection Panel for consideration.
    • The final decision will be made by the Imperial College Selection Panel. The members of the panel are the Vice-Provost (Research) and the Faculty Vice-Deans for Research.
    • The Panel will consider shortlisted candidates from all Faculties. Scholarships will be awarded to the candidates who show the most potential.

    Successful candidates will receive written confirmation of their scholarship.

    Any offer of a PhD place will be conditional on final interview by the Department and (if applicable) on the candidate receiving the predicted qualifications.

    If you are a high performing undergraduate or Master’s student and have a strong desire to undertake a PhD programme at a world class research institution, you could be selected to receive full tuition fees and a generous stipend for a PhD place at Imperial College London.

    Eligibility Requirements

    • Applications are accepted from talented candidates from Imperial College London, the UK and worldwide. There are no restrictions on nationality.
    • Candidates must be among the highest achievers in their undergraduate cohort, and in receipt of, or due to receive a first class UK degree or equivalent.
    • Candidates with a standalone Master’s qualification must have achieved a distinction or, where this has yet to have been achieved, be able to provide evidence of high performance that will lead to a distinction.
    • They must also hold a first-class UK undergraduate degree or equivalent (integrated Masters that form part of an undergraduate degree, e.g. MEng, MSci, M.Math, are assessed by Admissions as an undergraduate qualification when determining eligibility).
    • Candidates with multiple standalone Master’s qualifications must have achieved a distinction in the one most relevant to their PhD study.
    • Candidates with degrees from overseas institutions are strongly urged to determine if their scores/grades are equivalent to the relevant eligibility criteria.
    • Prior to applying candidates must have made contact with a supervisor in an academic department at Imperial College London who has agreed to supervise their research project. Please note that supervisors are limited to supervise one scholar at any time.

    Benefits of Imperial College President Scholarship 2025

    Each of the 50 scholarships available provides the following support during the 3.5 years of study:

    • Full funding for tuition fees
    • A stipend of £25,150 (2024-25 rate) per annum to assist with living costs
    • A consumables fund of £2,000 per annum for the first 3 years of study
    • A programme of bespoke opportunities and events delivered by the Graduate School

    Applications for the 2025 edition of the Government of Slovak Republic National Scholarship Programme are now being accepted from interested international candidates.

    The National Scholarship Programme of the Slovak Republic (NSP) is financed by the Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of the Slovak Republic from the state budget of the Slovak Republic.

    The provision of government scholarships of the Slovak Republic is a long-term part of the development cooperation of the Slovak Republic.

    In 2025, the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic will implement bilateral development cooperation through the government scholarship program

    The Government of Slovak Republic National Scholarship Program offers fully-funded study opportunities for international students.

    These scholarships are available for Masters and PhD studies covering up to €1,470 monthly.

      • will be on a study stay in Slovakia during their higher education outside Slovakia and who will be accepted by a public, private, or state higher education institution in Slovakia for academic mobility to study in Slovakia.
    • Be enrolling to study a postgraduate degree in a Slovakian institution
    • Be PhD students whose higher education or scientific training takes place outside Slovakia and who are accepted by a public, private or state higher education institution or a research institution in Slovakia eligible to carry out a doctoral study programme.
    • Be international university teachers, researchers and artists who are invited to a teaching/research/artistic stay in Slovakia by an institution with a valid certificate of eligibility to carry out research and development, which is not a business company.
    • Meet the Language requirements of the country (English, French, Slovak or Spanish)

    Benefits

    • The scholarship is intended to cover international scholarship holders’ living costs, i.e. the costs related to staying in Slovakia (food, accommodation, etc.), during their study, research/artistic or teaching stay at universities, and in research organizations in Slovakia.
    • The scholarship holder can ask for assistance concerning accommodation and formalities related to entering and staying in the territory of the Slovak Republic either his/her host institution, or he/she can handle all the necessities him-/herself.
