    Applicant must:

    Requirements

    • title of the work.

    These solutions are leading community solutions and system-changing climate action that bring multiple social and environmental improvements. They contribute to raising the ambition to achieve the 1.5-degree target by 2030.

    Three winners are selected by a diverse group of jury members from the Women and Gender Constituency (WGC) following an open and transparent process and are announced during an official, high-level ceremony at the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP).

    The first module begins with an introduction to the program, including a first meeting with your lead coaches who will work alongside you and track your progress through the program. After setting KPI’s for each of the four main areas of the program: company building, sales & marketing, fundraising, and pitching, this module will primarily focus on company building to ensure your startup has a strong foundation.

    SaaS hybrid program, also includes an onsite portion, where startups travel to their host city to meet each other, the Startup Wise Guys team, and coaches to engage in team building, live workshops, and networking activities. The first module concludes with a one-week Market Engineering Sprint led by Startup Wise Guys CEO, Cristobal Alonso. What a ride!

    Implementation week- this is the time for you to pause, take a breath, and implement some of the knowledge you gained in module 1. You deserve it.

    Week 7-10 / Module 2: Communication, Sales, and Product Sprint

    This module focuses on communication and pitching. This includes storytelling, pitch deck prep, product demos, and preparation for Progress Day. Progress Day is an opportunity for startups to share their learnings with internal stakeholders and Startup Wise Guys team members to make sure everyone is aligned and progressing according to plan. Module 2 ends with a one-week Product Sprint, where startups get to test and validate a customer-centered idea. Like the Market Engineering Sprint, the Product Sprint is another highly rated part of the accelerator program.

    The program ends with another implementation week to breathe, reflect and, well, implement.

    Week 12-15 / Module 3: Sales, Marketing, Growth and Progress Day

    In addition to interactive and informative workshops focused on sales, modules 3 and 4 focus more on one-on-one mentorship by selected experts to address your individual needs. Each module startups have an opportunity to check in with their lead mentors to ensure they are progressing as planned.

    At the end of the module is- you guessed it- implementation week! So much knowledge gained, and a week to yourself to implement it.

    Pitch AgriHack 2023 applications are now open. The Pitch AgriHack provides a platform for imaginative minds to exhibit their technical ideas to revolutionize the agricultural landscape of the continent. Pitch AgriHack 2023 will award the most innovative initiatives that address important concerns and promote sustainable agricultural development with a total prize money of $45,000.

    They want the world to hear from Africa’s greatest young brains about their answers. Young agritech entrepreneurs have the potential to transform the way food security concerns are addressed and to empower smallholder farmers across the continent.

    Pitch AgriHack 2023 for Young Entrepreneurs Categories

    The competition awards winners in three categories:

    • Early-stage agritech ventures
    • Mature or growth-stage agritech ventures
    • Women-led agritech ventures

    Pitch AgriHack 2023 for Young Entrepreneurs Prizes

    • Three winners and three runners-up will be selected, with each winner receiving a cash prize of US$10,000 and each runner-up receiving US$5,000.

    Pitch AgriHack 2023 for Young Entrepreneurs Eligibility

    Candidates are early-, mature- or growth-stage, or women-led technology or digital services companies with innovative solutions impacting smallholder farmers at scale.

    Applicants should have:

    • A clear and defined description on how their solution is impacting smallholder farmers.
    • Strong organizational and operational structure.

    The applicant applying must:

    • Be aged 18-40 on the day of submission to the 2023 Pitch AgriHack Competition.
    • Hold nationality (with official ID) from any of the 54 nations of the African Union.
    • Be the founder/co-founder of the enterprise represented in the competition and play an active role in its operations and leadership.
    • Have no criminal record related to corruption, tax evasion, financial impropriety, felony or
      other offenses.
    • Not be a previous Pitch AgriHack or GoGettaz finalist or winner.
    • Submit the application form in English.
    • Agree with the Terms & Conditions.

    Early-stage category, venture must have:

    • The ability to scale and impact a large number of smallholder farmers.
    • An identifiable technological innovation that addresses the following problems for smallholder farmers:
      • Smallholder farmer productivity
      • Smallholder farmer income
      • Labor intensiveness of operations
      • Resilience
      • Access to information for smallholder farmers
      • Strong competitive advantage

    Growth-stage category, venture must have:

    • The ability to scale and impact a large number of smallholder farmers.
    • Recorded evidence of demonstrated impact on smallholder farmers’ revenue.
    • An identifiable technological innovation that addresses the following problems for smallholder farmers:
      • Smallholder farmer productivity
      • Smallholder farmer income
      • Labor intensiveness of operations
      • Resilience
      • Access to information for smallholder farmers
      • Strong competitive advantage

    Pitch AgriHack 2023 for Young Entrepreneurs Selection Criteria

    There will be a screening process to determine the top 12 start-ups, which will be invited to attend a pitch training session. Half of the selected start-ups will be women-owned start-ups (one official co-founder must be female). The selection is mainly based on the quality of the information submitted in the application. Additional information may be requested by the organizers.
