AIIDEV Africa Teach4SDGs Programme 2024 | Cohort 5

Applications are open for the AIIDEV Africa Teach4SDGs Programme – Cohort 5.

The Teach4SDGs programme aims to promote sustainable development and educate future generations about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

This 12-week intensive training includes over ten advanced workshops, lectures, extensive readings, assessments, and practical projects aimed at improving the knowledge and skills of school educators in the field of SDG.

The programme curriculum is designed to cover the 17 SDGs and their targets, as well as important topics such as Education for Sustainable Development (ESD), Climate Change, Environmental Sustainability, Green Economy, Circular Economy, Sustainable Waste Management, Project Management, and Technology and Innovation for Educators.

The Teach4SDGs programme is designed to offer a comprehensive understanding of the SDGs, providing educators with the tools and resources required to educate future generations about the importance of sustainable development.

Through the programme, participants will gain a deeper understanding of the significance of SDGs and their targets, as well as the role of education in achieving sustainable development.

Eligibility

  • Open to all Primary and Secondary School Teachers both in Public and Private Schools across Sub-Saharan African countries.
  • Ability to commit at least 4 hours in 2 days per week throughout the training programme. All sessions will be conducted in the English language.
  • Applicants must be between the ages of 20 – 45 years.
  • Availability to partake in virtual training and conduct SDGs Activation in your school.
  • Interested in being a development and transformation agent who promotes student learning about the SDGs.
  • Applicants must not necessarily be acquainted with the knowledge of the SDGs 2030.
