Summer Student Program 2025 by Sokendai KEK in Japan (Fully Funded)
This program allows students to Participate in a Research Program under the guidance of the Faculty at KEK Campuses.
KEK is a laboratory in Japan with Two Campuses in Tsukuba and Tokai. The Program is Financially Funded by the SOKENDAI, the Graduate University for Advanced Studies.
It will run from June to August 2025. The Sokendai KEK Summer Program is open to Undergraduates and Masters Students from all around the world.
Research Fields of the Summer Student Program 2025 by Sokendai KEK
Students will be engaged in the following Fields either at Tsukuba campus or at J-PARC:
- Elementary Particle physics
- Nuclear Physics
- Material & life science
- Accelerator science
- Advanced Detection System(Sensors/ Electronics/Computing)
- Theory (computational methods in quantum field theory, i.e. Lattice QCD)

- Both International and Japanese Students can apply.
- Undergraduate and Master’s Degree students can apply.
- IELTS is not required.

Perks of participating in the Summer Student Program 2025 by Sokendai KEK
The Program Covers:
- Airfares: Costs associated with flights to and from the participant’s home country to Japan.
- Accommodation Fees: Charges for staying during the program.
- Per Diems: A fixed daily allowance of 1,500 yen for living expenses.
- Domestic Travel Costs: Expenses for transportation between the airport (Narita/Haneda).
