The Applications are open to apply for the UNEP Georgetown Fellowship 2025.
This is a Fully Funded Fellowship in the USA to earn an LLM Degree in Environmental and Energy Law from Georgetown University Law Center and gain a three-month International Internship Experience with the United Nations at UNEP headquarters in Kenya or any regional offices.
The Objective of the UNEP Georgetown Fellowship is to train public sector lawyers from developing countries who work on environmental law, natural resources law, or related legal fields, to strengthen the environmental rule of law.
There is no application fee and the fellowship covers the Cost of Tuition, Stipend, Airfare Tickets, Health Insurance, and Textbooks. The UNEP Georgetown Fellowship offers a US LLM and three 3-month internships.

Eligibility Requirements for the UNEP Fellowship 2025
- Be residents of a developing country.
- Hold a law degree recognized in their home country.
- Be currently employed by a national or local government.
- Be actively practicing environmental, energy, natural resources, or related law.
Note: Fellows are required to return to their home country and continue working in public sector environmental law for a minimum of three years.
