Automobile Technician

Job Specifications:

  • Location: Ogun | Nigeria.

Job Description:

  • We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Automobile Technician with expertise in repairing all brands of automobiles.
  • The ideal candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.

Responsibilities

  • Using diagnostic equipment to identify problems with a vehicle’s electrical, engine, transmission, steering, suspension, braking, or HVAC system
  • Perform regular maintenance services, including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and tune-ups, to keep vehicles running smoothly.
  • Complies with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards
  • Plan repair procedures using charts manuals and experience.
  • Test the functionality of parts and systems on vehicles.
  • Keep detailed records of repairs and services performed.
  • Explain automotive repairs and issues and provide great customer service.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications
  • Willingness to learn with hands-on training.
  • Help keep the repair shop clean and organized.
  • Keep a professional appearance.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • SSCE / OND / Trade test certificate qualification
  • 1-3 years of proven experience in automotive and engine training required.
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic components of vehicles
  • Hold a valid driver’s license.
  • Must read, interpret, and transcribe data in order to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to use the diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Good hand-to-eye coordination.
