GLOCAL Erasmus Mundus scholarships are awarded to international students from across the globe who are willing to undertake a degree program in UK and other countries in Europe.
Global Markets, Local Creativities (GLOCAL) is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree (EMJMD) programme taught over 2 years by a consortium of 7 universities.
The GLOCAL Erasmus Mundus Scholarship is a two-year International Master program that leverages the complementary and interdisciplinary expertise, resources, and networks of seven universities;
The Erasmus Mundus GLOCAL Scholarship offers full coverage of tuition fees, contribution to student travel and installation costs, and a monthly stipend of €1400 over the two years of the program.

- For applicants whose first language is not English, the University sets a minimum English language proficiency level.
2025 GLOCAL Scholarships by Erasmus Mundus Benefits
The Erasmus Mundus Scholarship includes:
- Full coverage of tuition fees, including deposit (in collaboration with the GLOCAL consortium)
- Full insurance coverage
- An optional contribution to student travel and installation costs (intended to assist with practical costs such as visas, residence permits, temporary accommodation etc.)
- A €1400 monthly subsistence allowance for the entire duration of the EMJM study program.
Required Documents for the 2025 GLOCAL Scholarships by Erasmus Mundus
To apply, candidates must be ready to submit the following documents;
- Degree certificate (and an official translation into English)
- Official academic transcript(s) (and an official translation into English)
- Two supporting reference letters on headed paper.
- English language proficiency
- A scan of the photo page of your passport.
- Your CV (Europass format preferred, but not mandatory).
- Erasmus Mundus Scholarship application form.
- Separate personal statement (for self-funded applicants only).
Application Guidelines for the 2025 GLOCAL Scholarships by Erasmus Mundus
To be eligible for a GLOCAL Erasmus Mundus Scholarship,
- you must first apply for and have a conditional or unconditional offer from the University of Glasgow.
- The deadline for application for the Erasmus Mundus Scholarship is 12 January 2025.
- Applicants must submit all required documents, as outlined in the application form, by the application deadline.
- If your offer status is ‘holding for documents’ at the scholarship application deadline, then you will not be considered for a scholarship.
- In addition, applicants must not have previously received an EMJM scholarship.
- After this deadline, the GLOCAL consortium will review and rank all scholarship applications, with scholarships being offered to top-ranking applicants.
- A reserve list will be kept, based on ranking, and the first eligible reserve candidate will be contacted should an original scholarship awardee withdraw.
- Results will be announced on 7 April 2025.

NB:
- You make your application to both the program and the Erasmus Mundus scholarship as one application through the University of Glasgow’s online application system.
- You do not have to make separate applications for the program and the scholarship.
